If there’s one thing that’s good for the soul, it’s a cup of tea and an open conversation. On Friday 25 October 2019, Lymphatic Solutions is proud to be hosting a ‘Best Friends Brunch’ for a great cause, and you’re invited to join us.
A special chance to come together
The first-ever ‘Best Friends Brunch’ will be held at Macmasters Beach Surf Club on Friday 25 October from 9.30am to 12pm.
It’s set to be a wonderful opportunity for peoplewho have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, who are preparing to undergo treatment, or who have just completed it, to bring along friends and family members to meet like-minded people, share their experiences and discuss the issues that matter most.
As part of the event, Occupational Therapist, Cancer Rehabilitation Specialist and Founder of Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions, Kate Perkins, will be on-hand for an enlightening Q+A session that will deal with some of your most common questions regarding exercise, mental fatigue, and the strategies that can help us to overcome these hurdles.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you, your friends and family to join in on an open, educational conversation and ask any questions they’d like to have answered.
This information will help your loved ones to understand how they can best support you throughout your journey – which is especially helpful for those who may not know how to ask for assistance when they most need it.
Brunching for a great cause
Tea and treats are even tastier when they’re for a good cause!
The ‘Best Friends Brunch’ will also offer attendees an insight into our 10-week ‘Next Steps’ program, which is designed to help individuals regain their strength and energy after breast cancer.
Delivered by Kate Perkins, who is a certified PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehab OT, the program is suitable after any type of cancer surgery or treatment and accommodates all ages, fitness levels and mobility.
The program combines the best Pilates, yoga and cardiovascular exercises for a workout that is specifically designed to help rebuild strength, flexibility and stamina.
