Kate Perkins, founder of Lymphatic Solutions, holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from University of Sydney. She is also a qualified Lymphoedema Practitioner and a member of the Australasian Lymphology Association.
Kate has a keen interest in the early detection and early intervention breast cancer related lymphoedema, and breast cancer rehabilitation.
The assessment, treatment and management of lymphoedema is tailored to individual patients, using current techniques and evidence based practice.
Kate also provides education focusing on exercise prescription, travel precautions, skin care, diet, and self-management techniques related to managing lymphoedema.
Private patients do not require a referral.
GP referrals required for up to 5 visits under Medicare on a Chronic Disease Management Plan (formerly known as an EPC Plan). Under the CDM Plan, Medicare contribute $52.65 to the cost of the consultation.
