WHO WE ARE

KATE PERKINS

Leading Cancer Rehab Occupational Therapist (OT) and Lymphoedema Therapist, Kate Perkins, helps women diagnosed with breast cancer to improve their quality of life and assist recovery through individualised, evidence-based, exercise rehab programs.

Founder and Head Treatment Specialist at Lymphatic Solutions, Kate is a Certified Pinc & Steel Cancer Rehab OT and a leader in the early detection and intervention of Breast Cancer Related Lymphoedema (BCRL).

A member of the Australian Lymphology Association, Kate offers patients a holistic recovery program based around the latest BCRL self-management techniques focusing on exercise prescription, travel precautions, diet and skin care regimes.

She uses the latest in Bioimpedance Spectroscopy (BIS) technology, the SOZO, in the early monitoring of Breast Cancer Related Lymphoedema. Conducting screening measurements before, during and after cancer treatment.

A former competitive cyclist and triathlete and passionate surfer, Kate draws on her lifelong love of sport, health and fitness to help her patients return to doing the things they love best following their cancer treatment.

*GP referrals required for up to five (5) visits under Medicare on a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (formerly known as an EPC Plan). Under the CDM Plan, Medicare will contribute $52.65 to the cost of your consultation.

Private patients do not require a referral.

CAITLIN HOBDAY

Caitlin brings so much life experience and passion to her role as Occupational Therapy Aid, supporting Kate in delivering hands-on care here in the clinic.

She has developed valuable skills and knowledge that have set her up to become an accomplished practitioner in cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema treatment.

She completed a 4-year Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2023, and will be completing specialised training in lymphoedema therapy in 2024 (after a well-earned study break!).

Fun fact: Caitlin loves to travel so much she used to work as a travel agent!

AINSLEY SYMINGTON

You will see Ainsley’s smiling face as she greets you as you walk through the door! She will also be assisting Kate in providing hands-on treatments to our lovely patients.

Ainsley is a qualified Allied Health Assistant and 3rd year Paramedic student.

Her recall of medical terminology and ability to learn so quickly on the job is a rare find!

FIONA LANGSHAW

Fiona will meet and greet you either on the phone or as you enter the clinic. As well as having years of admin experience, she is also a remedial massage therapist and assists Kate with Oncolaser treatments.

Fun fact: Fiona left the UK almost 20 years ago and now loves living on the coast!

MICHELLE MILLER

Michelle (Mish) has had many years’ experience as a medical receptionist. She is also a fitness instructor, and has been a dance instructor for over 10 years.

Fun fact #1: Mish is an identical twin, and has identical twin boys!

Fun fact #2: Mish was in the Australian Defence Force as a full-time bass guitar player for 6 years.

AMY FREER

The face of Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions, Amy is the one greeting you all as you enter the clinic and she’s the friendly voice on the other end of the line.

Amy keeps us all on our toes with great efficiency.

Fun fact: Amy is super fit!

** Amy is currently on maternity leave
