Kate Perkins is a highly accomplished cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema specialist Occupational Therapist (OT). She is the founder of:

Kate’s dedication to her practice is evident in her ongoing professional development. She is a qualified head and neck lymphoedema therapist, treating the adverse side-effects of neck dissection surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy using OncoLaser™ treatment with MLS Laser, as well as hands-on techniques.

Kate is a trailblazer in early monitoring for cancer-related lymphoedema, being an early adopter of the SOZO bioimpedance spectroscopy technology by Impedimed. This allows her to closely monitor the early signs and symptoms of cancer-related lymphoedema and other cancer treatments involving lymph node dissection.

A member of the Australian Lymphology Association (ALA), Kate offers patients a holistic recovery program based around the latest self-management techniques focusing on exercise & garment prescription, travel precautions, diet and skin care regimes.

A former competitive cyclist and triathlete and passionate surfer, Kate draws on her lifelong love of sport, health and fitness to help her patients return to doing the things they love best following their cancer treatment.

Kate is a highly sought-after international speaker and educator, regularly presenting to oncology specialists, GPs, and other allied health professionals. She shares her expertise on achieving exceptional patient outcomes and successfully building a private practice in cancer rehabilitation.

Some of Kate’s notable speaking engagements include:

  • Presenting two clinical papers at the World Association of Photobiomodulation Therapy’s (WALT) 30th Anniversary at PBM 2024 in London, demonstrating the success of using MLS Laser in cancer rehabilitation and reducing the painful side effects of a rare disease.
  • Serving as an expert panel member for Impedimed USA, sharing her insights as an early adopter of their bioimpedance spectroscopy technology.
  • Participating as an expert panelist for GP forums and educating international health professionals and cancer rehabilitation practitioners on the latest advancements in the field.

Through her leadership and innovative approaches, Kate is widely recognised as an innovator and mentor, as her clinic leads the way in the cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema treatment space.
