Denise is an Occupational Therapist with over 3 decades of working with people recovering from breast cancer. During this time she has developed rehab treatments to suit breast cancer survivors and assessment methods to train health professionals who are new to this area of care. She is dedicated to improving service delivery to breast cancer survivors. Denise is also the founder of Cording Protocols Project and Breast Cancer Rehab &wellness online Summit.

Denise breaks down the meaning of ‘Hidden Scars’, and how this can be perceived by the patient, and practitioner.

We discuss types of scars related to breast cancer surgery and related treatments, how the healing process of these scars can be delayed by the different levels of treatment, methods of managing scar treatment, and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
